Why a ductless mini-split

The most common choice for NYC apartments and older buildings where ducts are not an option.

Room-by-room control

Each indoor unit has its own temperature setting, so the bedroom and the living room don't have to be the same.

Cooling and heating

Most mini-splits we install are heat pumps — the same system cools in summer and heats when it gets cold.

No ducts needed

Refrigerant lines go through a small opening in the wall, so the system fits apartments, brownstones and offices.

Quiet indoors

The compressor sits outside. Indoor units run quietly, so they work well in bedrooms and home offices.

Common questions

Single-zone or multi-zone — which do I need?

A single-zone system has one indoor unit for one outdoor unit. A multi-zone system runs several indoor units from one outdoor unit. We recommend one after seeing your rooms and where the outdoor unit can go.

Can a mini-split heat my apartment in winter?

Mitsubishi Hyper-Heating (H2i) models are designed to keep heating in cold weather. On the visit we tell you whether the system can be your main heat or should work alongside your existing heat.

Where does the outdoor unit go?

On a wall bracket, a roof, a balcony or in the backyard — it depends on your building. We show you the options on the visit.

Does my building need to approve it?

Many co-ops and condos ask for approval before new air conditioning goes in. We give you the equipment details and layout your building asks for.

How long does an installation take?

It depends on the number of rooms and the building. You'll get the timeline in your written quote before any work starts.

Which areas do you serve?

We install in Manhattan (including Harlem and Upper Manhattan) and Riverdale in the Bronx. Not sure we cover your building? Send the form with your ZIP code. Before you choose: how to choose a mini-split for a NYC home.
